I'm leaving to be a vet tech, and planning to enroll and finish my last few prerequisite classes so I can apply to vet school.

I got lucky, to be in a store with a half decent leadership team. I handed my STL my voluntary resignation form and she said "I wish I could talk you out of it, but I think this is the right move for you if you want to go back to school."

That was very classy of her. And I might get a little good natured grief from the ETL's and team, but I know they'll let me go and wish me well, not treat me badly these last two weeks or anything.

Being an adult and wanting to leave on good terms meant not checking the "Supervisor" box on the form, even though her actions had a lot to do with me deciding I needed a new job.

Excited to be promoted to guest in two weeks.

Wut Commie said.
Put the pedal to the metal & let 'er roar!

Someone said "What made you decide to go back?"

My only response "I spent a year in retail human resources."

There are more personal reasons too, but I get really twitchy when people start wanting to know anything personal about me.
