Archived Things you MISS from Target

I miss my ap team (elt-ap and two tps) like crazy. They were like family to me and I think about them all the time.

Archived Applied for TPS at my store, not sure what leadership will think

Go for it! In my opinion TPS is the best position to be in and a truly unique position at target.

    Archived TPS Questions

That's what I used to do all the time too. I didn't want guests to start asking me where the carts were. The thing is I would gather carts in the lot and then guests start asking me questions like "what are you doing?!" Lol! It does look unusual for a TPS in uniform to push carts.

    Archived TPS Questions

    1. I've never seen a tps get injured during an apprehension. It's rare. 2. No weapons are to be carried. Only what target provides which are handcuffs, flashlight, disposable gloves and a radio. 3. Depends on the area/market you're in. If you have an APS you should get a few stops. My last...

Archived Bandits hide in restroom, rob Philadelphia Target at gunpoint

Yeah at my old store team members were more concerned about getting the zone done than to check for guests and I would have to check the entire store to make sure all guests were gone or heading to the front registers. I closed almost all the time and I would always check the restrooms and...

Archived Rats fleeing a sinking ship

My ETL-AP when I was with Target recently was freaking out because we had a huge visit. I told her me and the team would take care of all the stuff we needed to do to make her look good. On the day of the visit, it went extremely well and the only thing they said my team needed to work on was...

Archived Bandits hide in restroom, rob Philadelphia Target at gunpoint

At closing time, I would always check the restrooms and do a walkthrough of the store before the LOD would close the front doors to make sure no guests were in there. I'm guessing that store may not have had a closing AP team member to check the restrooms but then again if they did check it...

Archived Bringing Non-TM's into break room

The only time I would see non-team members in the break room would be when a team member was off and it was payday and they had kids or their significant other with them. Other than that, I never saw any ETLs make it a huge deal.

    Archived Shop at target?

When I worked there, I bought stuff all the time during my lunch. The 10% discount and 5% red card discount helped out a lot! I never had to go on my days off to the store. Now being out of Target, I have to go on my days off from my current job.

Archived Speaking Your Mind to Higher Ups

This is how I feel at my store! My ETL's are totally approachable! I've worked 5 different Target's and some of those Target's the ETL's were different. My first ETL-AP when I got hired in AP in 2006 was very intimidating. It was hard to approach her for anything. Then another ETL-AP didn't want...

    Archived Huddle Huddle Huddle

At my store we've been having less huddles due to staffing. I usually show up and ask the LOD if we're having a huddle and they say nope. Lol.

Archived Stolen From Reddit: Morale Boosting

It's weird how everyone wants to give up their etl. I never want to give up mine. She is so sweet and looks out for me like a mother. :)

Archived Stolen From Reddit: Morale Boosting

I wrote my team an appretiation letter and they loved it! The one who loved it the most was my etl-ap. She loved it so much she shared it with the other etl's. I got a lot of positive comments from the team for that.

Archived What deals have you gotten at Target?

I got a sony cybershot camera for 45.99 marked down from 139.99. I found it in the clearence section. I asked electronics if this was for real and they confirmed it so I bought it.

    Archived Vibe=Shortage

I say just hang in there and do what you can. AP has and continues to change but that's what business's do. They have to change in order to keep with the current trend. If you have support from your team and etl's you should go far.

    Archived Code Green & Liability

If performing CPR at Target whether on or off the clock, if you have CPR certification you the individual are covered by the good Samaritan law. As long as you don't go outside the scope of your training you received, you'll be fine. I don't know if Target is protected or not but the individual...

    Archived Target terms you hate

When someone on the radio says their name and cihyfs it just makes radio traffic longer.

    Archived Code Green & Liability

If you are cpr certified you are covered by the good samaritan law as long as you act in good faith. It's better to do something and at least know you tried to help than doing nothing.

Archived My appretiation for my team. :)

Well when I interviewed they asked if I was interested in moving up with Target since I have a degree and past Target experience. My etl is showing me some of the things she does when we have time. Never hurts to know their job.

Archived My appretiation for my team. :)

Definitely true! My etl-ap asked if I want to train with her on being and etl. I was thinking of promoting to etl since I have my degree but I think I'm going to stay a TPS just because a lot of what she does as an etl-ap is store related stuff (backup cashier, zoning and LOD duties), and as a...
