Everything is now QR codes, and packing gets the upgrade sometime next. Get ready for 3 years of hell.

Our OB department got them over the summer. We just got new ones in E&F, but we have been using an older model for a while. Haven't heard of our other departments moving over yet though.

Next will be the warehouse order picker upgrade for QR codes and depal. Every cage cart, and pallet has to be scanned in before throwing.

Really? So the cartonaire scans cartons to a cart, and the depal thrower scans the cart to tell the system they are throwing the contents into the Mezz?

I believe the "cartonaire" labels will get scanned by the mezz scanners before hitting the sorter but I could be wrong..

But isnt that just how it has always been? Just with zebras instead of the old PDAs?

Im clueless here. Idk why there would be a need to scan a cart before throwing it if the mezz scanners are doing their job. That sounds more like a packing/rebin thing.

There is a new graph on Apollo for depal now shows what's scanned in so far, cage cart/pallets.

The Splunk report is being phased out, possibly very soon. Mezz is currently running in maintenance mode until everything is moved to Jetson and Apollo, so we can't view 90% of the reports in outbound.

I dont really understand what your saying. The sorter?

Yes and no. The sorter is a part of it but there are multiple points on the mezzanine where boxes (labels) can take multiple paths and the system scans the labels to determine where to go. So it encompasses the entire mezz.

But yes the main impact would be seeing what is going on with the sorter in terms of volume and whatnot.

AP also used Splunk to monitor boxes that are scanned at point A and never make it to point B, as another example of what Splunk was used for.
