I just asked one of my connections, and they will try to get more information, but they reiterated the point that TLs and ETLs have absolutely no control over the system.

I'm sure ETLs will still be able to adjust punches to solve those issues. I suspect it's more along the lines of "this person was actually absent but we like them so lets remove the point".

Punch correction or ETL or HR can change a person’s time. When I’m late because a team lead didn’t let me in on time, I don’t punch in and later do a punch correction for missing punch. I’ve had to do this several times.

Honestly, at our store, I'm good with it.

Our 2s and 3s don't have attendance issues. It's the 1s that have all kinds of attendance issues and getting them termed takes forever with the "let's try and help them get better" mindset.

This will help us move the dead weight out quicker.

Besides, errybody always complaining about Leads not getting rid of people with attendance issues and having to pick up their slack. This should make errybody happy that doesn't have a problem getting to work.

What make a TM a 1, 2, or 3?

Agree about the "let's try and help them get better" mind set. Seems like a lot of hand-holding and babysitting to me. But then, I'm old school about these things.
