Attempting to pay your way out of your mistake doesn't undo it. You still stole. Which makes you non-rehireable. If you are able to pay for the things you stole, you clearly didn't need to steal them to begin with; you could have paid for them then and still have your job now.

You will learn this with time as you mature, but some mistakes you don't get a do-over on. It's one & done and if you're lucky you learn from them to make better decisions next time. As I tell my kids all the time: You are free to choose but you are not free from the consequence of your choice.
