i mentioned to my etl i wasn't feeling well, and left work yesterday. it was an evening shift
should i call out the next day or just go in?

Yes. You should always notify your store leadership each day you call out and as soon as possible. Not all leadership will pass on details of who called out or left early on handover emails for the next day.
