If my tl filed a report on me and I have a mental disability can i still be fired?

So I over heard that my TL was filling a report on me and I have mental health issues and I am concerned about getting fired from target...I am still in my 90 day probation period.....what do I do so I don't get fired???
 
Just because you have mental health issues (or any disability) doesn't mean you can't get fired. You still have to do the job to the standards set by the company. If you need something (an accommodation) to be able to do that, you have a responsibility to advise your ETL-HR. For example, if you couldn't stand for long periods of time as a cashier, but could cashier with a stool, that is reasonable. Just saying "I have a disability" or whatever isn't enough.
 
Within your 90days you are deemed probationary. They can terminate for almost any reason.


If your issue requires an accomedation that Target can fulfill reasonably, you should have disclosed that to HR upon your hiring.
 
Also just so your aware that filing a report isn't usual as drastic as im going to get fired it really depends on what they are filing the report for. They will document all conversations they have with you about performance or attendance.

It could lead to you being fired if for example you called off twice in your 90 days and they say hey you need to watch your attendance and then you call off a couple more times they could definitely let you go then. If you are talked to about attendance and you then fix your attendance problems going forward then you are more then likely ok.
