its in a year, not 90.
still, their are a lot of abuses possible.
1-8 minutes late evidently no longer counts as anything. No points. However they said your OM could talk to you about it and just because its not any point youre expected to be ready at start of shift blah blah. However they did no mention anything about a CA. So in theory, you could be 8 minutes late every single day. I suppose they reserve the right to give a CA anyway without any points, but they did not say the word CA. Basically this means in theory you can be up to a few minutes late every day with no problem, if you wanted to try to abuse it. that aside, I like this a lot and I also think is smart on their part. 8 minutes late is before start up ends, so its enough that the OM can know you are there. And <8 minutes late doesnt have any real effect on target production as its not even startup. So win win IMO. basically they are saying we dont care if you are a few minutes late here and there such as just running late, just dont get crazy with it, and thats great imo.
Another huge thing I didnt know, two consecutive days still counts as only one point (they talked about they know sometimes things happen there valid reasons to call off etc). But I guess for example for an a1 person, calling in monday then the following saturday, would not be two consecutive days, and would be two point. However sunday and monday, would only be one point, etc.
Some dumb ppl were saying oh, now you get 12 call ins a yr. Sure, if you want to be on final. In reality the real limit is IMO 4. Since you dont want 5=ca. 4 call ins a yr (assuming you also had no tardies etc) is about the same as before. EXCEPT the new exception for two day call ins (well, it's kind of the same as before I guess). In theory you could do 4 two day call ins in the yr, accrue 4 points, miss 8 days. plus still have 3 tardies allowed.
It's (annual): 5 points=CA. 9 points=final. 12=term.
That gets me to another abusable thing, AFAIK any part day miss is .25 points (they did not actually talk about leave earlys, but I assume it's the same .25 as >8 mins late). So therefore, in theory you could come in only one hour 19 different times (.25X19=4.75) before a CA lol. Again if you were really attempting to abuse the system and of course, did not care about the monetary loss.
They did mention they themselves are new to this (is this not in stores tho?) so bear with them as they work out kinks.
official start is September 6, the official policy to read drops in workday (or mytime I forget) june 24, something like that. more dates too, thats what i remember
Also now all scheduling, swaps (!), overtime, attendance, your points in the new system, is gonna be through a new app called UGK. and if you cover any missed time with sick within 72hrs, it's not points.
Oh yet another nice thing is everyone starts at zero in the new system. So you could probably take advantage of a few call outs before then depending, that will disappear on Sep 6.
Overall I applaud the changes tho. Took them long enough.
