What's a day/week in the life of a PML like?

Mon-Friday , usually 6am-2:30 PM
Required to work some weekends (like 3 a year)
Typical day starts with:
Checking email for store/bp/vendor coms
Checking work order app for store request.
Workload is assigned two weeks ahead, which means you can always work ahead.
Walk the store, first impresssions, autodoors etc.
Walk the restrooms,
Check in with House keeping.
Do any PMs/CMs that you want done before store opens.
Do an exterior walk.
Check equipment control.
Check hvac/refrigiration/compactor portal
Update log notes on work orders as you get updated info
Meet and direct vendors
Attend zoom calls
Do your business walks(5 a week)
Create follow-up CMs
Respond to real time store requests
Receive parts
Order parts

I am probably forgetting some stuff, but put in a chatbot and Ill get to it when I can.

You basically work for an tablet and a boss that might visit you every two weeks

Don’t have to worry about “servicing the guest “ too much, they don’t approach you as much because of the gray

You get high quality target paid uniform
Pants, shirts, shoes, belts, jackets, glasses

Super fun job, good to have some technical know how.
You typically become very close to other PMLs in the district.
It is a solitary job, you might feel unrecognized and unappreciated

Lmk if you have any more questions.

PML (depending on the individual) can be a store's most valued asset or a frustrating pain in the ass.
My store has had both but the previous & current ones are worth their weight in gold.
We're an older store so they have a lot on their plate in terms of work orders & maintenance (repair vs replace).
