    20 year service reward

our building was giving them out during covid. it was ridiculous, the same time attendance or prod was never addressed. most left almost as soon as the bonus was paid. meanwhile, those that had given 20 of more years were given a fraction as their thank you.

    20 year service reward

Nothing says “we appreciate your service “ like having 50 or so in a building reach 25 years each getting $200 while paying new hires a $2000 sign on bonus. Only to see most of those new hires flame out before reaching 1 year. Our building lost a lot of good people over that one.

    200 Worker Layoff

Let’s see. Each DC, depending on size, had a Logistics team (6-10) that scheduled inbound loads, dealt with problem freight, managed special promotions and events, and scheduled backhaul freight. A Dispatch team (5-8) that managed outbound BOL, created BOL for carrier and vendor returns...

    200 Worker Layoff

Ask anyone who was in distribution 10 or so years ago what Target Network optimization was, and how it impacted entire merit based teams. That is when they went down to just a handful across each building. Before that rolled out, merit teams were similar to how they look today. And because...

    200 Worker Layoff

Not officially, but let’s just say this is eerily similar to what happened several years ago in the months before eliminating a few merit role teams. No backfilling as merits leave, exempt hiring has slowed considerably, and tasks are being reassigned off site to India or to other internal...

    200 Worker Layoff

Wow, 1800 jobs lost this month. Come Feb, more distribution realignment, with many merit folks to be displaced. All the out of control merit headcount’s - time to pay the piper. It’s sad, but honestly about time the powers in charge realize how out of control and inflated some of these teams...

    Lay offs at Target

Look at archived news, mass HQ losses will only be the beginning. Last time, distribution was hit a few months later, along with key market store closures. Update those resumes, I knew something was up with all the SR and tenured leadership losses in our building recently. We’ve seen many...

    Realignment?

Is anyone else noticing mass exits of long time employees and senior managers? In the last 3 months, we have lost 2 SOM, Site Director, 2 HR, 3-4 OM, and several long time employees. Most of those leaving have more than 15-20 years in our building, and I’m betting there are at least 2 more SOM...

    How Target has fallen...

Distribution isn’t any better. So many merit roles that are virtually useless. Yes, there is a need for ICQA, Just not 5-6 per shift when 1-2 would do. Same with LWW, especially capacity. Absolutely no need for many of them. And does any building need 5HRBP and 5-6 hourly Hr? What the...

    Potential non-rehire

not only is she not supported to return, but if you were in our building you would be gone too.

    Interview questions

When applying, you are saying you are ready to interview. Please remember that OMs are having to make time for these interviews within their schedules too. Is this your ultimate goal, backup and then training specialist? But your goal is just anything else, and you are applying for everything...

Can anyone tell me how many hours I have remaining on my intermittent fmla leave (pic below)

Just like attendance points, as prior usage dates pass, those hours revert back to your bank. So 10 hours used 8/28/24 will fall off with those 10 hours available on 8/29/25.

    200 Worker Layoff

Post covid, have any of the FC, either stand alone or in an existing RDC building, been very busy? You will need to make your own decision on where you think the next round of cuts will be, but like others have already said, duplication of work with both stores and FC teams filling orders, and...
