No one cares about meal compliance

I've worked at 2 stores, neither has cared if I worked more hours than scheduled for the most part, so long as it wasn't OT. Overtime though has typically mattered. I had one SD that would tell me to just take the OT, and to not worry about it. But all the others were pretty insistent on taking...

No one cares about meal compliance

If I arrive late enough to immediately clock in, I do so. If I arrive early enough to get equipment before the 5 minute grace period before my shift begins, I also do that. Most days I am more than 5 minutes early, and have a walkie and zebra before clocking in. I'm not getting paid any less by...

    My call-out wasn't approved?

To the best of my understanding, there literally is no approval process. Approved absences don't exist. That doesn't mean you're getting a CA every time you call off, but at least officially any call off that isn't covered with sick pay, is officially processed the same way.

Fined? Maybe in California and some other select states. Meals aren't even legally required where I work unless you're a minor. Target policy still says you have to take them, but the companies definitely not getting fined for violating policy that doesn't have any legal standing.

Question for ETLs at stores with no SD.

The current acronym is DSD, District Senior Director.

Question for ETLs at stores with no SD.

Not an ETL, but that strikes me as odd, since I've been told numerous times that cameras are basically just meant to be used to detect theft and safety concerns, and that most misconduct witnessed on camera wasn't punishable. ie. We had TL's who mentioned being incapable of punishing someone...

    Third times the charm?

Hmm, store doesn't do SFS, that's a surprise. Is there no way to see your pickrate or INF rate anymore? Checked in MPM, realized you couldn't turn it sideways to see that info any more. Then checked in Greenfield, an can't access the info there anymore either.

    Third times the charm?

Definitely seems like a good change. Don't think I need anywhere near this much training, but in general for a typical new hire, rather than a rehire, it seems way better than what we used to do. We'd usually have a new cashier shadow someone for maybe a hour, then swap and have the person...

    Need TL advice

Isn't it 4 weeks? At least at my old store, we always sent new TL's to two different stores, for two weeks each, before they returned to our store to start their new position.

    Third times the charm?

Store sent me a 6 day training schedule via email before even attending orientation. First two shifts say they are "Store Basics" - and all 6 shifts have a specific trainer to partner with listed. Is this a common thing at other stores? I don't need anywhere near this much training, but the fact...

    New phone app

They mean add a 9, you'd dial the 1 regardless, do not add an extra 1, and accidentally dial 911. This has happened multiple times at my store.

The loss of pennies has absolutely crippled my store

I don't get how pennies no longer being minted even matters. It's not like most coins you ever saw were from the current year anyway.

    Third times the charm?

At my old store I worked 2:00-10:30 every day except Tuesday and Saturday, year round. Then would pick up extra hours 4th quarter whenever OT was available. I imagine I won't immediately get that here, but hoping being trained in the front end, on the salesfloor, in fulfillment, and in Inbound...

    In the news

I don't know if they're THE largest in that regard, but definitely up there. I believe Walmart is similar to Target in this sense though, in that they often own the entire shopping center and rent the other stores their property.
