Can someone please tell me how promotions work at Target? I.E. -- Do you have to have a lot of cross-trained experience? What are some of the things they look for in a person, before promoting them? And where could I get promoted to? Does it depend on which departments you are...

Thanks! I'm really enjoying my time at Target! It's a great job! Probably the best one I've had! At my store all the higher up want you to succeed and they are helping me do it. I think I'll have no problem at my 90 day evaluation!

Tonight at work I had my review after my additional training. It went pretty well! Better than I expected! My TL told me only 3 things I need to improve on. My accuracy, returns/calfs and responding to back-up cashier needs. She said I am a huge improvement. Any advice on how I can improve on...

I guess I got confused on what a Lateral Change was and misconfigured my sentence (LOL). What is a Lateral Change? I thought it was being trained and working in one or more departments, gaining more responsibilities and skills, but is that how it works at Target?
