    Posting the position is a requirement, even if they’ve already decided who they want and are just treating it as a formality. Having too many backups for a position is counterproductive for development.

    “On demand” isn’t an option at DCs, there also isn’t the option of dropping to part time. It’s highly unlikely that they’d approve a schedule exception that cuts your hours that much, generally they seem to believe that you should schedule school around work, not the other way around.

    12pm is noon, so they’d be working A1. Calling off or leaving early on Xmas eve would cost you your holiday pay for Xmas day.

    I stand corrected I guess. My understanding was that you could be stripped of the role without being fired, thus you should be able to voluntarily be removed without having to post out. Especially since you’d be posting to a position that you already occupy, even if only partially.

    It’s not exactly it’s own position, more of an “add-on” role, so you wouldn’t need to post back. You should have the ability to drop the role, which would then just return you to a “normal” WW and remove the extra pay.

    The only place radios were ever “ok” was at packing stations, and they had to be stand-alone and battery powered (couldn’t be a dock or bt speaker) but I don’t even think that’s the case anymore. The consequences would likely be the same as getting caught with your earbud, which at my DC is a final.

    Policy is up. It’s non-accountable, can’t be coached. 1hr per 52 worked, max 40hr/yr. Can’t accrue more than 40hrs. It doesn’t appear that it will protect holiday pay (if you’re in a state/city where it’s law, it does) So yeah, basically another week of vacation! 😁
