    Locked up laundry detergent?

So does a store with so much locked up do more business with OPU and SFS orders than guests actually walking around the store? I can't imagine doing a Target run for all the usual stuff with so much locked up.

    Does Target hire Senior Citizens?

Going by this thread, I'd say this issue is very much ASANTS. I'm officially a senior citizen and I think the oldest TM at my store although there are several who are close to my age. Before covid, there were quite a few more. (They didn't die, but took advantage of the leave offered and most...

    New Rollouts for 2025?

When do any of us have a lot of time to do anything?

    Locked up laundry detergent?

Recently started having to put one of the probiotics in security boxes, which I sort of expected because I kept finding empty boxes. Beauty has been putting some of their skin care supplements in boxes for quite a while. Plus the Hero blemish products and most of the LaRoche Posay skin care...

Is your Target store cracking down on minors?

Any age, as long as they don't cause trouble. And most don't. I am dreading the summer months a little though - kids being on summer break mean more shaving cream messes.

Is your Target store cracking down on minors?

I'm not sure 16- and 17-year-olds are all that responsible. I was at that age, but then I was hyper-responsible practically from birth. My big gripe is against whoever's playing with shaving cream. They do other things, but that's the worst of what I have to clean up.

Is your Target store cracking down on minors?

Never have understood this. Why else would it come in clear glass bottles? Back when we had TMs work just in cosmetics to keep it to brand (it was only about 4 hours a week), I'd try to use nail polish remover to clean up those stupid dabs. It sort of worked on the plastic, although the acetone...

Why are your price labels showing the figures in the yellow boxes? Our price labels are just the white part. Or the yellow part on some of them - whichever is the lower, actual selling price.

Is your Target store cracking down on minors?

We lock up our Stanley cups - a mini spider wrap on the cup handle and then they're attached to the shelf with one of those cable locks requiring a magnetic key. And wow, those teenage boys. I see a lot shaving cream sprayed around, especially during holiday breaks and during the summer, but...

Is your Target store cracking down on minors?

Any idea how many young moms I see shopping with young children in tow or in the cart's child seat? And their carts of full of things like diapers, groceries, cleaning supplies. They're in my area so the kids can pick out their new toothbrushes and get stocked up on vitamins etc. Our sales would...

    Sick Time

About vacation time, I thought we did NOT have to use it for a scheduled day off. Last time I put in for it and wanted to be paid for the time, I had to do two requests: one to not be scheduled and one to use vacation time. Has that changed? Also, I'm with @redeye58 - I have a ton of sick time...

To that one Team Member - II

He might have been great in that university job. I've had co-workers over the years, including at Target, who were pretty bad but once they get in a job they actually like and are well suited for, they thrive. Doesn't make it right or fair that he makes life miserable for his Target co-workers...

To that one Team Member - II

Why in the world did your store take back this awful TM? Or is this one of those people who talks a good game to the higher-ups and makes everyone at their own level miserable?

Which does nothing to dispel the uncertainty of the whole situation.

Sales Floor Does anyone else have unrealistic push times?

The last time we waved regularly was when we had a TL who played favorites and worked with them only. There was a lot of chatting about video gaming and sports, not much helping on his part, certainly no holding everyone accountable. Although if you weren't one of his favorites, he'd grouse that...

    Sick Time

That doesn't sound right at all. It's not like a person PLANS to wake up with a stomach bug (unless they're needing a mental health day), but a good TM isn't going to blow off a shift often enough to not be able to use sick time appropriately. A couple years ago I was out unexpectedly for more...

Sales Floor Does anyone else have unrealistic push times?

If I only knew. Seriously, it's been different reasons over the years. For a while, we had an awful TL who played favorites; his favs were allowed to goof off with no consequences. Then when covid was bad and people were collecting unemployment because those rules were relaxed (at least in my...

Sales Floor Does anyone else have unrealistic push times?

Cannot disagree more. The slackers slack and basically take advantage of the TMs who work hard. If TLs got after the slackers, that might be okay, except they don't. So nope to the wave.

Sales Floor Does anyone else have unrealistic push times?

If your store really does have OSHA violations, you can probably make an anonymous report to your state's labor department. They can get into some serious trouble with stuff like that and your store's leadership should not be letting it slide.

Might work easier for some areas than others. When I set OTC and Personal Care, I pull the priority batches right away so I can work in new product and adjust SFQs as I go along. But I usually need only 2 three-tier carts, sometimes a third. Wouldn't be the same for bedding or Chems.
