    Archived Goodbye Spot?

The same people are still there (minus a select few). I saw for myself recently and keep in touch with fellow tms. And yeah I have insurance and hours but I really prefer to be busy when I’m working. I don’t know about you, but for me the shifts would fly by at Spot. I prefer that to watching...

    Archived Goodbye Spot?

You're absolutely right Red. Despite the drama though, I liked the fast-paced work and the people. I knew tms from all departments and there was always someone to stop and chat with for a second throughout the day. And I asked to stay weekends only before I left but was told no due to stuff...

    Archived Goodbye Spot?

Hi everyone, I’m about five months out of Spot at this point and I miss it. My new job is just ok, and im just feeling down. I have a good consistent M-F daytime schedule including constant opportunities for overtime and great health insurance but it’s boring and I’m having a hard time...

    Archived COBRA Question

Hi, wondering if an HRTM can answer a quick question for me: I had my last day at Spot last week. Will I be notified about COBRA coverage? I cannot pick up insurance at my new job for a few months. TIA.

My store doesnt do this. A call out is a call out as far as they're concerned.

    Archived Hours where art thou?

You would think. Im trained in cashier/softlines/fitting room/hardlines/SFS/presentation/price accuracy/instocks with complete open availability and have still gotten 20ish hours a week.

Archived Have any Flow Team Members worked at Target long term (if so, for how long) without ever learning

This. Recently a bunch of scooters were stacked up on. the. highest. shelf. Like stacked four-high. I asked a flow guy to help me because I needed one for SFS. He looked at me kinda funny. I also have a hard time with anything heavy that is high up, since getting down the ladder with that kinda...

Archived anyone from 1040 in vista here?

Yes this. My store has/has had a number of tms and more who are LGBT and they are great workers and coworkers. No need to insult an entire group of people.

Archived How they’ll let the Seasonal TM go.

No papers or anything at my store. I just kept getting scheduled. I don't think anyone was let go then (2014 holiday season) except maybe a couple, who only wanted seasonal work.

MEGATHREAD End to End team PILOT

THIS. I'm good at "getting it done." I can backstock, take care of pogs/VAs and price change, and push the truck in record time, among other things. I'm not comfortable selling things. I'm currently on my way out of Spot and this is one of the reasons. I don't like what my job has turned into.

Agree with you there. Is that who's on the A&A team at your stores? We don't have a lot of people but I believe the majority are mid-20s on up. The younger ones don't work often and they rarely if ever are in the backroom.

Definitely something up with your SL leadership. I'm in an A volume store and we rarely if ever do not come clean on truck push on any given day. Maybe once a month if that. Somebody's gotta be doing something wrong.

Yeah no way would they just schedule anyone on Xmas. My store does a Christmas Day shift but it is strictly volunteers only along with our STL.

Archived Can they "force" you to stay past close/scheduled shift time?

At my store, we stay until the zones and reshop are done. It could be 15 minutes past close, it could be two hours past close. Doesn't matter. Sometimes softlines and hardlines need to help eachother depending on the hardest hit zones. I've been at my store as late as 2am (12am close)...

    Archived To Softlines I go...

Interesting. Just walking around trying to sell stuff is not the way we do things at my store. Everybody has to do something while engaging with guests when possible. I would definitely ask for more training, since there won't always be guests to interact with.

    Archived To Softlines I go...

So what ARE you doing when you are in softlines? If this is going to be a regular thing, I would talk to your SL etl/tl about getting trained on reshop, zoning, truck, etc.

    Archived Rest Breaks

Coverage can be next to impossible for areas like electronics and fitting room, but it does depend on who's on shift. I worked a shift with people who were not comfortable covering FRO and had to threaten in order to get coverage to take a meal break. I wasn't then arguing over a 15.

Haha, I definitely wouldnt ask something like that over channel one. We get a lot of prank callers- of all ages. We had an older lady say something about condoms (not sure of specifics) that really embarrassed one of my older coworkers, to the point where she had to walk away to calm down.

Archived After Target (looking for insight)

I have recently accepted a job offer and am ready to say goodbye to Spot. Your statement above sums up very well how I feel. I definitely don't feel challenged at work. I used to work in a variety of work centers and that helped a bit, but now I'm pretty much stuck with only one. I get bored...
