    New family/relationship policy

There are quite a few POS in my DC. Several are LWW..

    Reliability points system

Wow. Target learned nothing from those covid years when no one could be bothered to come to work. 5 in 90 days means 15/year. That’s an entire month of scheduled shifts in the DC.

Sent to outbound on voluntary overtime

Welcome to the flexing to work system. Anyone can be put anywhere due to “business needs”. Even WA can be forced to inbound art to outbound lanes.

    Reliability points system

Attendance is a joke anyway. Those that know how to play the system will continue to do so, with their 5-6 absences per month as “protected time”. Meanwhile the rest of us are left to cover their jobs continuously, all because they know how to abuse FMLA and state protected leave options. Not...

    New family/relationship policy

Being in a DC where there was favoritism issues with Lww (wife) WW (husband) same exact team, I say it’s about damned time! Never should have been allowed, but it was, and now the OM is no longer there to protect, it became obvious really fast what was going on.

    New reliability policy

Attendance has always been a rolling calendar year. It’s against the law not to allow PTO to cover time missed.

What happened with those who were affected by the lay offs? Any able to find a new position?

Downsizing isn’t done yet. There are still discussions around more merit role reductions, just waiting for final numbers before rolling out to buildings to determine where cuts will be. If you pay close attention, you can tell which leaders get squirrely when asked about team performance.

Saw this on Reddit. More Layoffs?

next to nothing is what they do. these teams were overstaffed with little positive impact. or dc used these roles as a way to make people feel good about themselves for ass kissing

    Layoffs questions

And y’all said i was crazy when i warned cuts in distribution were coming when that massive HQ layoff happened.

    Omg my dc is slooooooo

Impact of all those HQ layoffs. Don’t be surprised when round 2 hits GSCL and Fulfillment.

    Officially fired today.

And true to Targets overly accommodating processes, Brad will continue to make the receiving process difficult for anyone unlucky enough to have to work with him. If the TL was back there helping, they should intervened on behalf of TM before this got ugly, especially if Brad was being...

    I'm Pregnant.

They are accommodating your medical appointments by not scheduling you. What’s the problem? If they are giving you a semi-co sistent work schedule to allow time off for your appointments, it may be easier to mirror the same one week to week. Hours are tight this time of year anyway, so I doubt...

    Accommodations Request - Hour Reduction

An ADA will allow reduced hours, but there is no way to guarantee hours. So, if your accommodation allows scheduling up to say 25 hours, you could be scheduled 5, 10, 15 or up to 25 each week, just never over 25. It would be up to your store if they want to keep you benefits eligible, and...

    Will I get fired

I am so sick of these posts. You already know you did something you shouldn’t have, or you wouldn’t be asking. Yes, falsifying company documents is a term able offense, no questions asked.

Target moving primarily to in-store fulfillment

It looks like TARGET is doubling down on store fullfillnent as a more cost effective process. Which means distribution fulfillment will become a thing of the past, like the failed Canada stores expansion. There have already been 2 sites shuttered this year (Georgia and Indy), with more...

will i get in big trouble for calling out on black friday?

Making you question your prior call offs, isn’t it? Averaging once per month is a lot, you obviously recognize this and want someone to give you a pass this time. You never know when something truly unavoidable will happen, so it’s best not to play fast and loose with attendance.

    20 year service reward

our building was giving them out during covid. it was ridiculous, the same time attendance or prod was never addressed. most left almost as soon as the bonus was paid. meanwhile, those that had given 20 of more years were given a fraction as their thank you.

    20 year service reward

Nothing says “we appreciate your service “ like having 50 or so in a building reach 25 years each getting $200 while paying new hires a $2000 sign on bonus. Only to see most of those new hires flame out before reaching 1 year. Our building lost a lot of good people over that one.

    200 Worker Layoff

Let’s see. Each DC, depending on size, had a Logistics team (6-10) that scheduled inbound loads, dealt with problem freight, managed special promotions and events, and scheduled backhaul freight. A Dispatch team (5-8) that managed outbound BOL, created BOL for carrier and vendor returns...

    200 Worker Layoff

Ask anyone who was in distribution 10 or so years ago what Target Network optimization was, and how it impacted entire merit based teams. That is when they went down to just a handful across each building. Before that rolled out, merit teams were similar to how they look today. And because...
