Did anyone elses store not provide food in breakroom this year vefore thanksgiving? All we got was qmos fruit, mainly afew bags of cuties and apples. Which hasnt happened in over 20 years. Hell not even pb and j's or grilled cheese.
Have to say, its a downer.
I had an odd conversation with my GSTL in which she encouraged me to talk to the ETL-GE to get more hours on Thanksgiving since you get paid time and a half. However, she said not to tell the ETL that she "pushed" me to have the conversation with him as it would look like favoritism.
As of now...
Hi all! I'm just got employed so o start tomorrow, but when I had my interview I said upfront I cant work mondays and Thursdays, I didnt realize Thanksgiving is on thursday ,you think they would give me that day off or nope cuz I'm seasonal?
So I recently started as a seasonal team member. My schedule for today says TV so I'm guessing that's electronics? My training has gone smoothly and I've worked almost every area at this point OTHER than electronics. Am I going to be completely lost today? I'm worried I'm going to be asked a...
So I just checked my schedule and on ThanksGiving I’m scheduled as TPS 2-7:45. I’ve worked for Target a little over a year and started as a cashier. I work service desk, SCO and cashier a lot now and do stuff around the store when needed. I have never worked TPS before and as far as I know it’s...
Feeling confused so I'm not working thanksgiving day but I have to come in 4am to 12pm black Friday so pay wise ... Is it better to to work thanksgiving ?? Or do they kinda even out by couple dollars... Math is not my thing people I apologize
Target isn’t doing some crazy thing like staying open 24 hours all of Thanksgiving week are they? I ask because I work overnight and on the newest schedule, in the spot where it always says “Unload-Stock: 10pm-6am,” it says “Consumables Sales Floor: 10pm-6am.” I just found it a little odd that...
I haven't seen anything....has Target posted their intended Thanksgiving opening time yet? Maybe they are waiting until after Halloween to make it public. Does anyone have any inside intel? Just curious.
Does anyone else agree that reasons we as a company in general "suffer" the way we do or have "declined" in not only the good service we used to provide, but overall quality is by being open on this day?? Thoughts, feedback welcomed!! That and also I feel being greedy and staying open later as well.
alright so i'm scheduled 5:45pm-3:45am in softlines on thanksgiving when i'm mainly a cashier. my sister also works at my store and she is scheduled 5:45pm-12am when she's mainly softlines. would it be possible to talk to someone and see if we could switch so i can cashier until 12 then do...
okay, so I work overnights, been at Target for a year and two months now.my availabilty is from 10pm-7am. On Thanksgiving I'm scheduled to come in at 5:30pm and I can't do it. I'm telling them on Saturday...should I expect a hard time? I told them I was available Thanksgiving but for the...
I've already told HR i'm available all day to work both, but however i thought you were forced into working these days. I really would rather not work them, are you required to? I was told by a coworker that she got both days off, and all these seasonal people are getting hired anyways.
Now that the majority of the chaos is calming down, let's all share some of our awful encounters! Rude guests, crazy fights, and any other interesting occurrences from the Black Thursday/Friday shifts.
My store had about 50 people bum rush the door before opening as a rumor started at the end...
So I have a shift on Turkey day, the only holidays I've worked so far is 4th of July and Labor day which was time and a half, since this is a bigger holiday will it be double or still just time and a half? Either way I'm happy. Just curious, and who else is working on Thanksgiving this year?
Last year for Thanksgiving I worked as a "guest director" near PFresh showing guests where to go to find stuff. I was nowhere near Electronics so I don't precisely know what it was like over there. This year I'm opening Electronics on Thanksgiving. I've worked in Electronics many times before...
Staples takes a stand, will close stores on Thanksgiving
I can't imagine Target ever doing this, but I have a lot of respect for Staples for taking this step. I remember the two black Fridays I worked at Target as two of the most hectic days of my life, and having to work on Thanksgiving in...
