vmtl

Hi Everyone, I just started working for Target 2 months ago as a seasonal employee. I normally rotate between Electronics and Hardlines shifts. I noticed that 2 weeks from now, I have two shifts as a visual merchandiser...is that normal? My parents think they are grooming me for another...

I was pulled into the office today and told that my position as a vmtl is no more. I’m now a visual merchandising team member. Had this happened to anyone else?

So today my store asked me if I would like to be fully in charge of softlines adjacencies.... scheduling the team, making sure POGs are set, etc. I am extremely comfortable working in softlines, but it makes me question the role of the actual softlines TL... does anyone else have a similar setup...

I am posting on behalf of my VMTL friend at another store who has run into a difficult situation. Over Q4 they were predominantly in hardlines.... toys/seasonal/trend runs/endcap fill which kept them busy 40 hours/week. Now that Q4 is over he wants to go back to spending 50/50 time in hardlines...
