So I started working at Target a couple of months ago and up to this point, have only worked 10pm-6am unload/stock. I did one signing shift from 10pm-7:30am. On Black Friday they have me coming in at 1AM and working until 9:30AM and the position says "Hardlines/ Sales Floor." So what can I expect? How different will it be from what I normally do? Also, I really can't stay past 7am and have that in my availability, the latest I can stay is 7:30, any advice on how to go about telling them? I was told there's nothing they can do when I can't work past my availability, but being it's Black Friday, I was wondering if there's any special circumstances??

Any help(answers/advice) to my above questions will be greatly appreciated!!

Talk to your ETL and HR asap so that they can adjust your schedule.

You will be pushing pulls from the back and cleaning up. Hopefully it will be dead enough they can let you go home, but these two days most stores don't give two shits about your availability. Talk to them and see what happens.

Now what does that mean exactly? 'Pushing pulls'? Forgive me I haven't exactly learned all of the Target language yet lol

HR can probably tell you what you will be doing, and the LOD that night will also know.

They typically ignore everyone's availability on Thanksgiving/Black Friday since the store will be open overnight and most TMs don't have that availability. HR or the ETL-SF may be willing to work with you, and it will help if you have a good reason you still need to be off by 7:30 that morning.

The items that the backroom pulls to replace what has been sold from the sales floor. Pushing is just taking the items from the pulls and putting it on the shelf where it belongs.

It's pretty much what flow does, except there is a lot less of it, many items will be loose and not in casepacks, and there should be minimal backstock leftover.
