That would be a no.
Learn your lesson and find another job.
Maybe one where you aren't tempted to steal.

I promise you are marked as 'Don't Rehire - They Stole Stuff - It Doesn't Matter How Hard a Worker They Were'
I also suggest you don't go back to the store even if you want to pay for things or set things right.
Just stay gone.
They can still perp walk you if they want to.

thank you and whats perp walk

Walk of Shame?
Handcuff Tango?
Miranda Boogie?
Pork Escort?

You can still be arrested even if you promised to pay it back and they can have the cops pick you up.
Which is why I say, stay out of the store, not even to shop.
ok thank you and yeah i was willing to pay them that same day i got fired they told me i could come and see my old friends and shop there but thats a lie right

because to be honest i would work really hard i would start 5 minutes before i would clock in and i would not even take my last 15 i would carry all the palets and do the jack and crush the boxes eventhough i was 17 and i would fill my whole u bolt until there was no more space

Yep, that's a lie.
Once you've stolen the trust is gone & there's no getting it back.
And don't put Target down as a reference because, even tho they won't say you were terminated (they only confirm that you worked there & when), if the prospective employer asks if Target would rehire you they can say 'no' without having to say why. Your prospective employer would then ask you why you're not rehireable & have to judge your response.
There also used to be a retail database that companies used to avoid hiring workers with a past: theft, harassment, violent behavior, etc.
You need to walk away from this.

That is very much a lie.
Don't believe anything they said.
Don't go back to the store.
man tbh im kinda glad they fired me i would do alot of palets by my self i would not take my last 15 i would break my ass to do everything and i feel like the more boxes i did the more they gave me they would make me do the bulky ubolts and carts while they gave other people the light work

To the OP. You're toast. No more Target, ever. Grow up. Reading your post was painful. How old are you? Keep your rambling mouth shut, gain some maturity and move on. It's not a life sentence, treat the event as a learning experience.

yes sir i understand im 17 and i should shut my mouth and i do need to move on sorry if i made you made for the post i have made

Hopefully the kid will learn a lesson. He's done at Target, forever and there will be other opportunities as long as he keeps his mouth shut and goes about seeking employment the right way. Check out the American flag company on TV.

Maybe I am missing something but you can only view ppl as non rehirable if they were termed from that specific store. If OP applied to another store, they wouldn't know why. Although sometimes an HR might ask another HR off the record. Also, HROC used to ask via email why you would hire back someone who was non rehirable, which would be a honest mistake, but it didn't happen this year via Q4. Tells me that since Workday used to be able to see others' statuses from other stores, either 1) Target got sued for sharing this info with all its stores (state laws differ) or 2) they are desperate for workers. Not receiving an email from HROC tells me either 1) they are desperate for workers or high turnover at HROC. Just saying... However Target prosecutes its employees, so do stay away.

Don't worry about it
Just learn from this and never do it again.
You got lucky and they didn't have you arrested.
They easily could have.
You are young enough that you might even want to leave this off your job applications all together.
Don't even give the next place a reason to ask about it.

I could be wrong but I think it would say in the system why you are not rehirable. Another retailer can’t see this but, another Target can.

Maybe this is state specific but we cannot view termination status from other stores. Thus, seasonal hire is a total crap shoot but generally most seasonals were termed as rehirable. This is why I said HRs talk about potential applicants off the record. We only have access to records of those we terminated within that store. This change was made effective in Workday around 2022. If someone was termed in another store, it says prior worker on the application, name is greyed out and is termed but you don't have access to view anything. We did in 2022.

No. No you cannot be rehired after theft. No. Just no.
