We use those at my grocery store instead of walkies and they are pretty awesome. Each core manager and each department is assigned one (in addition to the wired phones all over the store) so you can call their direct extension and talk to exactly the person you need to talk to and no one else. Ours can also access the overhead paging system.

I wonder if Target is going to attempt to replace the walkies or if these are just a better solution for the existing phone system and cordless handsets.
