Listening to music/podcasts and talking with coworkers is what keeps my mind from wandering while working. I'm easily one of the fastest workers in the store, but it feels like any enjoyment I once got from the job is gone in large part because of all the changes. Working only your own section of the store and having 3 hour unloads with 4-5 people working(or walking to be more accurate) the line is the new norm at this point.

I'm not quite sure what I'm hoping to accomplish with this post, other than to ask whether my only solution is to look for another job(which I am) while I'm in school? Its incredibly disappointing to be encouraging/welcoming to everyone new, and yet secretly agree with those that can't wait to leave the job.

Like everything, companies often change. Consider your long term goals. If your career choice is not to grow with Target but rather to utilize Target as a part time endeavor as you get your education and find yourself extremely unhappy then seek alternate avenues to get you through school.

Often one finds the grass is NOT greener elsewhere though and Target affords one benefits other opportunities do not.

If you are considering leaving just because it's not so "fun" anymore, consider very carefully. The novelty of new employment wears off in almost all jobs fairly quickly.
