A modern PO has a source code of 1000 and is only 6 digits versus 7 digits with other PO's and is used by vendors when adding last minute products onto trailers. Yes it is supposed to be fail safe but not always the case. The problem we have is that when processing external damage, we use a link called External Damage Process. With modern PO's, they don't show up in that process so we don't get credit for processing that freight. We were told months ago that they would be added but we are still waiting.
