I took a promotion from a Hardlines Team Trainer, to a Perishables Assistant a couple of months ago expecting a stable amount of hours. However, as of the last few weeks, I've been barely pushing 20 hours and of this week, I'm not even scheduled for 20. Am I being flushed out? Or is this just the result of 1st quarter/less hours? I've tried asking for more hours and it has not worked. I've even tried to get some Hardlines hours, however there are none available either. Should I start looking for a new job? Or am I getting concerned for no reason?

How many PA's do you have? What volumn is your store? We are B, have 2 PA's and I get 38-40 without fail.

@Produce Queen I work at a AA+ store. We have 3 PA's. When I was promoted to a PA, we did not have a CTL. However we do have one now.

I have talked to my CTL, he said that the hours are just not available. The food truck is usually worked by the Flow team. But I'll ask him about that.

I'd say it's just the hours situation right now. I got close to 40 hours all year long and this month I dropped to less than 20 per week for the entire month.

@TBRTWITCH That's what I'm hoping it is. I'm looking to move up the target ranks, so hopefully it improves.

It's the hours situation, especially if you're at a mid-volume or smaller store. Hang in there!

Swap shift is an option. January to March are slow times for spot.
