I’m usually on inbound. On my new schedule they have me “Hardlines-Sales Floor “ and basically doubled my hours.
1- Why would they do this?
2-What is the difference in the two?

ASANTS, but not a lot of difference between the two depending on the shift time. Hardlines helps with push until that's done, then they do pulls. Unlike inbounds, hardlines isn't required to backstock their own stuff. However hardlines is required to help at the front when needed, answer phone calls, and do reshop. Both jobs stock the shelves as their primary tasks though.

At my store they just do that because they took a lot of HL hours and gave them to us on inbound. We stay as inbound the entire time and never and aren't trained to respond to calls/backup/do reshop anything.
