Hey all.

So I'm one of those fresh out of college ETL hires everyone doesn't like. I've lurked a bit.

I also used to lurk some years back. Spot was actually my first employer. I worked as a team member from the time I was 17-19. Mostly did guest services & sales floor but I was trained everywhere. They were about to make me GSA then I found a job in the mall that was just way more mellow and payed better. Working mall hours (closing at 8pm weekdays) was also perfect for school since my Target schedule never actually seemed to follow my requested availability. That all said though I did enjoy working for Target back then. Didn't love nor hate it.

Anyway I just graduated from my university in May and been having meh luck in the job hunt but wasn't super motivated since I didn't get paid too bad from the parts store I worked at since I took a management position and was enjoying just kind of relaxing living back at home over the summer saving money. I decided hell I'd try throwing an app in for Spot and after a month long process and 4 interviews I was offered the ETL job. I'll leave to do "business college" soon.

I'm semi-excited. Excited for the move back into my own place again and to be back in a hustle and bustle environment that Spot brings. Not so excited for the 55-65hr weeks I'm expecting haha. I hope that my previous experience and success at Target and my current management experience will help me succeed at Target and not be one of those fresh out of college ETL's who flush out because they don't know how to be successful in retail.

Luckily I also had a great STL and great ETL role models (and a couple bad ETLs haha) at my original store I worked at. I opened up my tote I had stashed away in our basement storage room and got my 13 Target shirts from a past time all cleaned and ready for action.

Anyways that's my intro. I'll definitely be using this forum as a resource like I did before and offer advice where i can as well.

Welcome.

50, 60 hours a week should be illegal!

Greetings and salutations.
Welcome to The Break Room.

Welcome back to the red 'hood.
Hopefully your past experience will help you in your development as a leader.
Be one of the good ones.
