Hello, had an interview at a target location today, that is planned to open soon, we were interviewed 10 at a time in groups of 2-3, i'm not sure of how long the average group interview lasted but ours was about 4-6 minutes, we were asked three questions "tell me something about yourself" "why target?" & "do you have any questions for us?" at the end of it all we were asked to walk to a different location of the unopened store and were then told that our applications would be looked over once more and we'd be contacted within two-three weeks.

I'm just not sure if this is common procedure by target (two-three weeks) or if more than likely they were just putting me down easy, would love to here back from some of you guys asap. All feedback is much appreciated. thank you so much!

Never heard that...at least for mass hires. At least for the 2 stores that opened near my last store, the District Team and a group of store ETLs from the district got a conference room at a nearby hotel. They had people do paper applications and availabilities. Then did immediate interviews for highly selected ETL, TL, and TM candidates. Then did callbacks at the office trailer at the new store locations.

Welcome to The Break Room.
Sorry never heard of that kind of mass hiring method.
Anyone?

I was part of the Mass Hire for a store in my District. The way it was set up was as follows: 1 TL and 1 ETL are paired up (total of 8-10 groups of TL and ETL pairings in one room) and each pair gets a person to interview. The ETL would do the introduction, then the ETL and and TL would alternate asking questions from Interview Guide A and B and once the interview was over, we decided on the spot if the applicant would be doing an On-the-Spot drug test. I did this for 2 out of the 3 days that the mass hiring was happening. Didn't really like how it was all done in one room since you couldn't always hear the applicant's response nor could the applicant always hear the question, so we would have to repeat it.

We had our mass hire for our store 7 yrs ago at a local school. We filled out paper applications. Then went to a classroom labeled the "Relaxation Room" where we watched Target commercials. Went for the first interview. Then back the the "Relaxation Room" to wait for the 2nd interview. After the 2nd interview I was taken to a room labeled "Job Offer Room". They made the official job offer and set up your time and date for orientation. Then we went to the other side of the room to wait for the drug test part. I remember going out to my car afterwards and calling my husband and saying, "I think I have a new job.". I was still working at Kohl's at the time.
We had our orientation at a hotel down the interstate from us. We weren't even allowed in the new building until around 2 or 3 days after orientation.
