Mid year raise for LWW

Are mid year raises a thing for merit positions? Specially LWW. 2 LWWs in the DC received mid year raises back in September and no others, when asking OMs about it was told it was given to the LWWs that were behind on the pay scale. Which is not true because there are more newer LWWs that didn't get it and one that did get was one of the first of LWWs when the position started. After bringing this up was told they didn't know why. I have asked other merit team members and they have never had mid year raises either. Anyone have any insight on this? Is it performance based?

It is usually performance based and usually only given to the top 2 or 3 performers in that specific job title. Occasionally it can be to those low on the pay scale. Time in role doesn't mean more or less pay. Sometimes newer LWWs are making more than older ones because of the nature of merit and what those TMs were making in their previous role.

If a packer became an LWW the same time as a warehouse worker, the warehouse worker is likely making more to start and will likely continue to make more, if they both perform roughly equivalent to each other throughout the year. And depending on the pay difference between WA's and WW's are warehouse worker could be hired a year or two later and start out making more than the former packer. So the former packer might get a mid-year to bring them closer in line to the rest of the LWWs.

Top 2 LWWs, top 2 ICQA, top 2 (S)TSS etc etc. Same applies for OMs and SOMs.

But it requires there to be a budget for it. If there's no budget, then there's no midyear. And the range can be huge. I've seen us give out 7% as a mid-year bump or as little as 1% or 2%.
