great, dont tell me theyre gonna start jacking with sick pay. i knew they hated it so bad. they act like you are pulling teeth to leave 2 hrs early cus oh god, they might not make precious plan (which is basically because they dont expect or ask A2 to do anything, and somehow that's our problem not theirs because of course it is).
Lately I noticed a subtle thing the lead wants you to tell the OM. Regardless if anybody knows where the OM is. I flat told them I'll check the office if they arent in, I'm leaving, period. I definitely feel a subtle attempt to basically tell you you cant leave sick pay or pressure you about it.
anyways i've not heard of such a thing at my building but, sounds terrible. i did notice almost every time though, they are a week late on the pay. You dont get it the week you put it in, you get it the next week.
someone honestly needs to sue over this garbage.
the thing is sick pay is a pathetically low amount of time anyway, since you dont accrue it even on vacation or sick pay itself. it's theoretically only 3 days a yrs for us A keys (altho too be fair, you could increase this if youre an ovetime type, which I'm not), but in reality for someone like me who takes a lot of VNS and has been there long enough to get a lot of vac, it's literally more like just 2 days a year.
there are certain employees (yes employees not management) who dont seem to like sick pay and seem hell bent on making it doctors note required. they bring that up and talk about it constantly, supposedly joking etc but i can tell they want it to be. because if you just talk about it all the time you're going to give management/hr the idea. hopefully blue state laws protect us (i'm not in a blue state but its hard for target to have different standards by state regardless without looking anti-employee)
