Hello! I just got hired at Target and I will be going back to college in a couple weeks. Right now, I am being scheduled more hours than I want when I go back to school. Is there a way to tell them that I don't want more than a certain amount of hours? Should I change my availability? I don't want working so much to hurt my grades.

Talk to your ETL-HR.
A lot hinges on whether you made this clear during your interview.
If you did, you'll want to let them know when classes start & they may want to see your class schedule (but ASANTS).
If you DIDN'T tell them this during interview, you may be SOL since your hiring would've been contingent on your availability.

I told the person doing my phone interview how many hours a week I would want and then gave them my availability for school starting in my second interview and my orientation.
