What should I expect as a floor sales member?
What kind of pants are allowed?
Good or bad for shy people.
Etc.
I'm very anxious!

It's going to be okay.
I have to say it's a little tough on shy people but we have folks here who have managed.
Khaki pants, red shirt.
Your first day will be mostly watching videos and touring the store.
You will probably get trained on register first before they train you for the floor.
Don't be anxious, it's all good.

It can be a bit tough for shy people, but it can also be a place where you learn to be less shy. Well, less shy when you're at work anyway. Hopefully you have a fun team who all get along. You should be training with a team trainer(s) for the next week or two. You'll do great!

I would say find me and I'll teach you my evil ways, but we don't so orientation on Thursdays.

My best advice, "fake it till ya make it."

Red and khaki all the way. Wear whatever closed toe shoes ya want, but keep it red and khaki for clothes. Pants or Capris below the knees only.

Get to know the store. I work all over and it feels great being able to help all guests out without asking for help via the walkie.

Don't be scared of the walkie.

Don't get upset with what you can't control. Find fun in any way possible. Pretend the guests are the most amazing people ever and you want to help them. The angrier the guest, the nicer you have to be.

I seriously find the fun in work, even if I'm dancing while zoning.

Welcome! I was shy when I started with Spot....you will be ok. Just remember that everyone was new at one time...so its ok to be nervous.

I was shy also, hired as a cashier and had NO idea how to do the job. I thought it would be the hardest thing in the world. Nine months later, I am a GSA. 😛
