Hi All -

Could anyone offer insight as to whether or not they withhold a week on paychecks?

My orientation is tomorrow and I'm assuming I'm starting mid pay cycle. Can I expect 3 weeks worth of pay on my first check?

There is a week between the last day of the pay period and when checks are issued. So for pay period 8/12-8/25, payday is 8/31. For pay period 8/6-8/18, payday is 8/24.

I did not have a week withheld, if I understand what you're asking. My first check was for the partial cycle that I worked.

No, you won't get three weeks in your first check, you'll get the hours you work in this pay period.

At my store the pay period started Sunday, so orientation on Tuesday would have you early in the pay period.
