So, this will be my first time doing food inventory, haven't done it before. is there anyone that has done it before? What is the process, and how is it done?
 
When we did the inventory 2weeks ago
-Print the section numbers that you will put in every 4foot section in the backroom and SF
-Make sure everything is backstocked
-Start with inventory process TINV then start scanning. just make sure you change the section # everytime you finish a section.
 
some meat must be entered in pounds, instead of quanity, if its a full case the number of pounds is on the case box.
 
Inventory was pretty successful, we finished with an hour and a half too spare!
Inventory Audit was only 6 items, and it was just the sweet potatoes and weighed meat that we had to re-count.
Counting the freezer was HORRIBLE!!
also we had a lot of items on the missing report... we were pretty light on food that evening.

How did you finish with extra time to spare? When we do inventory we do it at night and we cant count salesfloor until after close. I assume you guys do it during the morning then?
 
We were scheduled from 7:30pm-4am
they also scheduled a backroom TM during the day to prep the freezer and coolers and make sure all backstock was done.
So by the time we came in all we had to do was print out the section tags.
TINV didnt let us start scanning the backroom till 8PM anyways

AH IC...ya we usually just do 6-10:30 or so with 1 person coming in before that to prep.
