So our EE remodel is almost done and I was wondering if it was considered 'best practice' to let mobile have a set of keys. Our AP has never let mobile have a set and every mobile TM that is hired and comes from a different store is disappointed that they dont get one. Most other stores in the area allow them to.

Ive heard mobile is taking over more responsibilities so maybe they will be allowed to have keys now? Anyone know?

ASANTS. Even between stores in the same district, it largely depends on the feelings of your ETLs AP, SF, and your STL. A fair few stick to the side of saying that it is not best practice, while (in my experience) most will say it's technically not best practice, but more practical, for mobile to have keys to Electronica, especially post-remodel.

Ours have lockup keys with S3 key.

Technically it's not best practice but our APBP on a visit had no problem with it.

I can't see how it would work not to let Mobile have the key in an EE store, just because there is so much more locked up that they are responsible for. It's bad enough calling someone over to unlock a few cabinets now and again, but if they are half the department now, that would mean calling a keyholder away from thier own duties, on a near constant basis!

There was a REDWire message regarding verifying whether the person you were about to hand mobile keys to was, in fact, a mobile TM. As part of that message, there was attached a whole document regarding what Mobile does and/or does not do. I believe that document outlined the keys they were supposed to have, and that an electronics key was one of the one they were supposed to have.

But again, ASANTS.

Our Store is one of the ones with EE Remodel partaking in LA25. We pretty much run electronics now and are supposed to have our own set of keys, I'd have a talk with the AP ETL. A nice change is we also get commission of off everything we ring up in electronics. So if your store is one with these changes let your Mobile rep ring up guests. They want us to ring up all guests, push for surveys and red cards as well. Since Target is giving us commission on ELectronics now we are expected to perform better than Red Shirt TMs did.
