Scheduling Issues as On Demand

Hi, so I recently got hired as an on demand cashier in Novemeber. I am kind of confused how this position works and it appears my leadership and HR does as well. I was wondering if I could get some answers from other people at other locations. This is the second time I've been scheduled without permission or without being asked if I could work those days for a whole week and above what I asked for my weekly hours. Is this normal especially for the holiday season? I called my HR two weeks ago complaining I had been scheduled without being asked and for a full week too. I have another job so normally I wouldn't even care but that job is also busy during this time and I can't commit to full 40 hour weeks. She didn't quite understand the issue at first but took me off that schedule so I could pick and choose what I worked instead, which is the whole reason I took this job. This is the second time now, I've been scheduled like that and have been desperately trying to call HR or my ETL about it, but of course no one is answering the phones. I'm afraid to just post my shifts on the app because I heard in the 90 days they can fire you for anything and on demand more so for that reason. It is 3 weeks out but I know during the holiday season its dire they know early.

If they continue to do this to me who can I complain to? I don't want to have to keep calling HR or talking to my ETL about this every time a new week's schedule is posted. I was under the impression and told the day of my on boarding I'd be picking my schedule, but for the past 2 schedules now ever since my training week they've been just blindly scheduling me.
