What is this app or who is this app for? I noticed it today on the MyDevice.

It’s to audit shipt order the shipt employees that comes and shops for guest
Maybe I should have asked why do we have it and when or why would we use it.

Sorry. What is it's purpose?

I believe you look for 3 items that the shipt shopper has and make sure they are on the shopping list. (Probably the most expensive items) I bet its to make sure they don't run off with items that they didn't buy.

it’s for Target.com Same Day Delivery fulfilled by Shipt. orders originated at .com don’t need to be rung in POS, so the shopper will bag their own items and then the SCO Guest Advocate or SETL will audit the order in the app.

this is going to be a mess. so half of shipt orders are through pos and half are through this app? why not just make it all in this app?

and having the SCO ™ do this (and everything else a GSA would do) is just a bad idea on target's part from an AP standpoint.

shipt orders from shipt.com/shipt app have to be rung in POS because shipt is still a separate company. the inventory needs to be accounted for, and it needs to be tax exempt because the guest pays for taxes through shipt. shipt on target.com is pretty much just OPU/DUP that gets delivered to you from the system's point of view.

if you have a team of true guest advocates then SCO can stay at SCO. the shipt audit process literally takes one minute. my SCO people stay at SCO for the most part, with the exception of alcohol overrides. we schedule our strongest advocates when me and my peer aren't in the building, also.

So they can be a junior SETL without the pay. Not directed at you personally, but this Target way of doing things now is chasing away good FOS TMs.

My store lost 3 front end TMs last week due to the extra work that modernization has created, and 2 of them were our more highly skilled Advocates. It's become quite clear that my store is not going to to train everyone to do everything up front. The more competent ones aren't interested in having more responsibility and stress while others get by scanning and bagging.

Heck, I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay.

no, the whole idea is that they don't need me there because they're able to own their business and make the call on their own. we have some advocates who we're still working on training and developing, so we schedule them at times me and my peer are in the building so we're able to help them one on one. the only time there's a blinker is if it's a minor who has alcohol or a register needs change.

I understand that's the plan for the Utopian stores, but for whatever reason (s) my store isn't training everyone to be fully autonomous, and leadership doesn't plan to in the future either. They trained a few of us to essentially be GSAs and are now asking the rest of the front end TMs IF they want to learn how to open, close, SCO, DU, etc. They're asking, and most are saying no.

i'm not asking my team if they want to learn service desk, drive up, self-checkout, etc. the expectation is that every guest advocate understands all of the front end business. if they aren't able to meet those expectations, they can't expect to stay in the front end. i fought to get time to train some of our underperforming cashiers rather than performance them out and it's been paying off. i'd say about 90% of my service and engagement team are truly guest advocates and not just cashiers.
