So, on Sunday night, I was the only scheduled to zone/re-stock/etc home improvement, home, housewares, domestics, etc. In my store, it's about 100-110 aisles. I had 4 hours to do it; but I got it done, mind you it was my 5th working day and my TL was impressed. It was a turnaround shift. I come back Monday morning and find out that ENTIRE section/area was completely changed. I didn't even find out that it was changed until the close of my shift (430pm) because I was telling guests which aisle to go and a GSA was like... no, it's not there anymore. I was like (in my head)... WTF, I could've left that crap a mess and it would have hardly mattered. I sent guests earlier today to an aisle where stuff didn't exist anymore. I really wish they would let us know so we don't look like fools when we send guests to aisles and products aren't there. I felt like a fool after that shift.

Yeah, it's always fun when a department resets and you have to re-learn where everything is. That's why it's usually a good idea to walk the guest to the product instead of just giving them an aisle number.

I'm terrible at remembering the specific aisle number things are on, but I know where things are in relation to everything else. Resets make me really glad this is the case, because it forces me to walk the guest over there

This is true. But I was gone from 11pm to 8am. And to date, it was my 6th working day, how could have I known. I usually walk guests but I know home improvement and domestics the back of hand because that's where I've been most of my time. And especially zoning that night, I *KNEW* where everything was. This 'remodel' BS is messing with my memory. I mean shit, I'm barely remembering my TM#. Guests are probably wondering why I'm pulling up my phone (when I'm called to B/U cashier).

I tell myself... if I could remember my SSN, my DL, my student ID, previous work ID, I CAN REMEMBER THIS!

PS... I wish the Time Clock could let you scan your TM code or something.

Our PPTL sends emails out letting SFTLs and ETLs know* what aisles are going to transition, so that we don't spend time zoning them.

I used the brand option instead of aisle numbers. But, I take the guests to the location of the product(brand) too. To add anything extra add ones to their cart like clearance, etc.

Trust me---the POG team appreciates a good zone when they have to reset. It makes our job much easier. So, on behalf of your POG team--- Thank you!
