What is your favorite/least favorite type of scan?

I felt this was so necessary. Please share your stories of scanning drama. My store’s 26 and 35 devices appear to be in good condition but are always having some ATTITUDE.

We have a new PML as of late and they are really doing a good job at getting our equipment sent out and keeping up on work orders. I really hope it stays that way as time goes on.. a good PML makes the store run so much smoother. So most of our myDevices are brand new replacements.

Yeah we have a plastic tub where equipment that needs repairing goes. It’s always full

The ghost scan(beeps and displays on device eerily fast)

Old reliable(Requires one solid squeeze)

Offsides(Only scans if you squeeze one side of the device)

The gotcha scan(Press once and nothing, second scan is a breeze)

The little turn(Only scans if you rotate up to 90 degrees)

The big turn(Only scans if you rotate between 90 and 180 degrees)

My team lead(The one that only scans after you’re upset and have wasted 45 seconds on it)

My etl(The one that only scans if you try scanning nearby labels first and then returning
