Archived Won’t let me cross train out of Starbucks

I’m currently a barista and have been asking to cross train for some time now. I want to cross train in softlines just to have a change and not always be working Starbucks. My team lead doesn’t want me to cross train but Starbucks is lacking hours any advice? Would talking to the store manager help or HR?

Talk to the style TL. See if they are willing to train you.

Once your starbux schedule is made, other teamleads can grab you on other days. Talk with the teamleads from other areas.

Chances are they don’t want to train anybody else to do Starbucks. I mean why train somebody new to learn the job and fuck it up when they have you who already knows. That’s sad thing keeping people where they don’t wanna be just so they don’t have to train.
