I was up front getting re-shop.

The guest was complaining to the African American female TL about denying a return.

The guest then asked me whether I was a manager.

I told her no and said not all of are manager are white males then walked away.

She was speechless.

By she asking you I detect no racial undertones. Were there? If so what were they? Asking you if you were a manager is a neutral question.

I was asked if I was a manager years ago, we were doing a grocery reset. I said I was the cardboard boy and that I would get a TL for them. I look like a nerd.

A TL from Brazil was approached by a guest who started to speak Spanish to him. He replied with the comment, "Do you speak Portuguese?".
