Archived Few more weeks, and that's it

Put in my notice a bit ago...luckily I'll miss the Black Friday/4th quarter madness. It's bittersweet....I'd love to support my team and put in the effort to make it a successful few months. But at the same time, we're not being given the payroll or empowerment like we used to years ago...

Archived "Guests" opening masterlocks and locking them around stuff

New "prank" that has been hitting stores in our area. People(Well...kids mostly)...open up a padlock, lock it around random pegs or security cord or anywhere else where it could be annoying, and then throw away the key. Or just walk out with the piece of paper with the combination I guess...

Archived Visiting other retailers...noticing more people working salesfloor at that moment....

Than working salesfloor all day at Target. I honestly wonder what the Payroll vs Revenue ratio Target is compared to other retailers. I go into a place like Sephora or Lush or Old Navy and I'm literally bombarded with team members asking me if I need help.

Archived So how are your guest survey scores?

Terrible here. I thought the new reporting / thresholds would give us a bit of a break, but it's been bright bright red for the last month. Same across the district. And region. Is anybody having any results due to effort? Those that are green that I've called up aren't doing anything...

Archived So how does your store schedule team leads?

*Edit - Sorry, wrong forum. Meant to put this under "Leadership" We're starting to get to the point where team leads are literally taking all of the salesfloor hours. Example, we have 2 harddlines team leads...our store is allocated 104 hours for hardlines, so about 75 hours goes towards the...

Archived It's that time of year...team member/self reviews!

How many of you non-exempt basically have to write these at home? Off-stage time for a team lead is unheard of now a days. Yet, these reviews need to be insightful, thoughtful, and personal. But don't spend more than 10 minutes writing each review.....

Archived HR is starting the "How do you deal with change?" walking chats...

Introduction to AE2015 is already starting. Right now HR is prepping TLs and up for dealing with more cuts and higher expectations with no improvements in processes...while preaching that "change" equals progression Leadership positions likely to be cut in 2015..... Most AP positions. ETL-AP...

Archived How many of the problems at your store are corp related, or ETL/STL related?

At my store, I can't help but feel like we have a strong(not perfect) staff, but what is really holding us back is shit coming from higher ups and all the trimming of payroll. The expectations and the level of productivity is so insanely high that there is no hope in getting our store back in...

Archived myTime pilot store here. Observations. Questions?

First off....the very first month of testing... Awesome. Great. Amazing. The salesfloor was staffed to guest needs. Finances were ignored, and we were given payroll to accommodate what the system actually said was needed. This was taking into account transaction difficulty, time of the...
