    Schedule Exception

The roll out that we were shown has. 3 periods per day. Days/swing and overnight. That does not keep them from paying the swing and overnight the same. I don’t remember the exact hours being B1. But the scale they showed had a rate change at midnight.

    Schedule Exception

Shift differentials will be set based on time of day, as I remember, 6am to 5pm, 5pm to midnight and midnight to 6am and by day of the week Monday to Friday or Saturday to Sunday. So six different possible pay scales. You can be payed multiple scales in one shift. At my DC and as far as I can...

    Schedule Exception

At my DC they just announced a part time option. Details to be set next month. It may create new work schedules for you. they are also eliminating and reducing most shift differentials on Mondays, so they are really looking for any options to staff Mondays.

    no slowdown due to tarrifs?

Apparently, inbound had their forecast reduced by at least 25% for next month off an already slow month. We will see how it works through the rest of the building and to the stores. If the forecast is accurate.

    no slowdown due to tarrifs?

After seven months of mandatory OT last year, Inbound is approving VLE all week long with up to a dozen people out of department. Last year VLE was nonexistent this time of year. It may be better staffing but really seems much slower. Capacity seems as bad as last year so freight may not be...

    Crickets 🦗

As 20+ year person, who signed up for VLE at midnight. I really enjoy having my days actually on the calendar so that I can make appointments. So far I have not canceled any day that has been approved or moved up the back up list from any other cancellations. With UPO I believe they will need...

    Annual Bonus

They already have the expectation of weak sales so I would expect a 2% “bonus” for hourly workers rather than a raise. I expect vey senior executives will get a bonus for cutting costs(wages) again but everyone else will be losing ground against inflation.

    Prod

My state required that they give us a printed standard. They gave us a PDF with many job function standards and the caveat that it all changes due to budgets. The standards used to bet set by DC every year with everyone expected to increase with the lowest performing DCs having the greatest...

    Infolink questions…

It is very inaccurate, so it knows that you have earbuds in about 50% of the time even if you forgot them today. It gives off impact alarms a couple times a quarter sometimes when you are parked and regularly thanks you for exiting the vehicle safely when you are still in it. The check out...

    Another year of no raises

3 years without a raise and with “warehouse associate expansion“ they are paying new hires significantly less. I assume that they are probably planning to make outbound TMs into warehousing associates and all PIT drivers can come from other departments.

    Stores Closing, Sadly No Surprise

My understanding is that these are all small format low volume stores and rather than admit it was a bad management choice they are try to blame shortage as the cause. SFS are high cost stores to run and supply with a low volume and somehow they thought they could earn a profit by understaffing...

    Paid Sick Time

We use MyTime PTO other currently. So yes, if you want to get paid, you get to have an “electronic trail” like any other PTO. If you call off before the shift you may also need to use MyTime manage the shift to avoid a NC/NS.

    Paid Sick Time

Our state mandate sick time is accountable so it can be use around paid holidays. Expect an adjustment time for leadership to figure out scheduling. Our team was padding the staffing by 20% to cover the extra no shows. Friday second half outbound is the worst. It seems the whole building is...

    What is your CPH goal?

Outbound noncon is a lot harder than carton air. Noncon includes team lift so is much heavier and if you are sorting properly you get much fewer multiples per store/location and have to walk much of the freight all the way into the trailer. Not that I think either goal is easily achieved...

    Note on repack

That is for the DC. Normally all items are associated with the Master label on top of the box, so one scan can load it to the trailer. I don’t know why it happened is this case. Maybe a TMs error, an item set up error, IM reworking an item or corporate not letting us reprint a damaged label.
