Anyone heard of something called "Backroom 365"? SD wants the backrooms to be audited, wacos replaced, etc. in preparation for it but didn't explain what it actually is.

I wish my store was, our speakers were broken for a couple weeks and it was blissful silence, especially at night when the store is nearly empty.

The last couple weeks I've noticed that every night, usually somewhere between 6-8 PM, multiple (5-15 in my department) out of stocks will suddenly show up, and none of them will actually be out of stock on the floor.

We've gotten a case of Circle K candy, and several gallons of milk branded for a local competitor.

My store's SCOs have been really bad in this regard the last couple months, we have 8 but regularly over half of them will not take cash. No idea what would have happened to cause them to suddenly be so unreliable.

TTOTM: Why would you tie two endcaps, but do nothing but take the previous product off? You didn't adjust the shelves, get the extra shelves needed, put up any of the labels, or even print them off. Which then meant that there were a bunch of items that went into the pulls, that had no place to...

Grocery, unfortunately. We had one year where GM did it, but nobody there liked doing it (now they know how we feel) so they made it our responsibility again :rolleyes:

I've never heard of anyone getting talked to at my store for taking a long 30. 15s yes, but not 30s. My team lead often takes 40+ minutes and not because of OT.

Personally since it's a small change, I'd just wait until that schedule is posted then ask my leader about changing it. At least at my store, HR won't change a shift without the TL/ETL saying so, and asking ahead of time they usually forget by the time they write the schedule.

Something probably just got unplugged. It wouldn't have anything to do with saving power if the speakers are still on, and the speakers shouldn't use up much energy anyway.

Where I live I hear and see cicadas pretty frequently, but strangely this year so far I've barely heard any and only seen one.

Our HR TM has been so annoying about insisting everyone take it. After about the third time he brought it up with me, I asked him to clarify whether it was optional or not and he said it was. I told him I wasn't planning on taking it, and he leaves but finds me again 15 minutes later practically...

The question is asking if you were given your breaks, not if you took them, so I assume the question is to make sure that leaders aren't keeping TMs from taking their breaks.

Q4 just ended, and the economy keeps getting worse. I imagine it's stores that are no longer profitable but the company was waiting for Q4 results to decide if it's worth it to keep them open or not.

If your store is like my store, most TMs and even TLs just ignore it or press decline. If someone is keeping track, they don't seem to care. If they do start to care, they'd let everyone know of a new "you must answer the phone" policy rather than immediately write up 75% of everyone in the store.

That's incredible if true. Target: "The new backroom pilot is working great! We'll be rolling it out to more stores." TMs: "Did you ask for the opinions of people who have to actually use them?" Target: "No, why?"

Also of note, Circle offers will automatically be applied, so you don't need to find them in the app and add them first. Unfortunately they're getting rid of the 1% off for using Circle without a Red/Circle card.

It's been happening a lot to me lately, sometimes you have to scan something 5+ times to actually get it to load. When you scan it the first time it does show up in the recent scans, so it's actually faster (and more consistent) to scan once, press search, press recent scans, and select the top...

Sure, but when corporate employees who don't work in a store decide how things should work in stores, things usually get less efficient.
