So Walmart has announced it will be closed on Thanksgiving.
Any word on what Target is going to do?

Are any stores doing anything food wise in the break room for team members for the Juneteenth holiday? Our store is again doing a big fat nothing and I would also not be surprised if they don’t do anything for 4th of July ( HR didn’t do anything last year for the fourth also).
Target currently recognizes six national holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Given the recent last-minute decision to recognize Juneteenth as a holiday a month ago, will Target be permanently adding Juneteenth to the list of...
No one seems to know at my store. Are they still doing 1.5x holiday pay for Memorial and Independence? I assume it hasn't changed, but I just wanted to make sure.
TIA
Okay, let me start by saying I understand that working Thanksgiving had no effect on the hours given to a store/department for the rest of Black Friday week. That said, many TM's like myself were able to work past 40 hours (I hit 50). Looking at Workday today to preview my pay and I don't see...
Last year my schedule was crazy during holiday season with me almost working 30 hours a week. This year everyone, especially Softlines are barely getting 16 hours a week. A co-worker of mine only have 9 hours for the week of THANKSGIVING/BLACK FRIDAY !!!
Is this happening anywhere else ?
Does anyone know if new hires (not yet at the 90 day mark) make time and a half for holidays? I won’t be into work until the 4th so I thought asking here might help.
Contemplating whether or not to call out so you can spend time with your family tonight for Christmas Eve? Then do it. Family is not forever, as I learned the hard way. Even a year later I am still angry with myself for not having the balls to call out last Christmas Eve. And I missed out on...
Do we get paid time and a half for Thanksgiving or black Friday? Also what so you guys do to prepare for black friday. I work 4:30 to 1 am Thanksgiving day then I'm back to work at 7 am 😂
Guess someone decided to do some after hours shopping. Broke pur front door took a bunch of electronics. Hooray for them -_- so how does it work as far as write offs and replenshing for black friday? Or is that a thing cause alot was ad stuff :/
I’m in the process of getting a seasonal job at Target, and I’m wondering if there are any benefits/incentives of working on Thanksgiving/Black Friday.
I went on corporates website and the verbiage seemed confusing, in one paragraph it listed thanksgiving as time and a half pay but also within that same sentence said team members get premium holiday pay.
So which is it, is it time and a half or holiday premium, and what is that?
I’m aware...
Has anybody heard of these for the holiday season? It looks like it’s a station near the front entrance of the store where guests can go to get things customized? Our’s said ‘Wondership Customization’ or something like that??? It was literally JUST being set up but there’s like a giant...
I will be leading the hardlines portion of this visit to have some face time with our DTL.
Any tips or things I should definitely touch on?
My ETL is supposed to be prepping me for this but he was not helpful in the slightest bit.
He said to talk about the seasonal set and that was...
I heard that TL's get paid for holidays, even if they do not work on that day. I also heard that if a TL works the holiday, they get time and half plus additional holiday pay. Is this true? This is what a fellow team member told me as being one of the benefits of becoming a TL, that and...
I'm not at work and can't find info on the website so asking here -
Are we getting paid an extra dollar/hr on Saturday Dec 16 and Sunday Dec 17?
And what's the pay next week? I swear, I should have taken a picture of this shit at work but I forgot.
