Is it true you can't work overtime on a week with a holiday if your store is not honoring overtime? That the holiday counts towards the 40 hours as well? I'm having to cut my hours to make sure I don't go over 40..first time in years I was told that on a week I worked a holiday 🤷♀️before I was...
Hey! I’ve been employed at my Small Format store (also known as a “City Target”) for about 4 months now. In my time that I’ve been with my store, they’ve been desperate for staff and hours. Multiple times I’ve came in multiple hours early to support and my attendance is great. I primarily...
Anybody else’s store doing this from now until end of July? Schedules went from 36-40 down to 28-30 for me, some went from 4 shifts down to one. Were told that it’ll be this way until August. We also all got the dreaded ‘we’re giving you this Friday off, enjoy’ calls. I know it’s retail...
The issue is that I don't want to do the truck. It's not what I was hired for and not what I'm scheduled. I think it's because I'm a guy. After all, they don't ask the 75 year old cashier to get carts or throw the truck. It's really starting to get old.
I already discussed this with my "team lead" and ETL and they provided me with same information I found on workbench. Which at face value they are required to at least give you 24 hours notice and consult with you in person, cannot be an off the clock convo. I've had a lot of problems lately...
Saw a post on reddit spot is going back to non set schedules given the death of DBOs. From what they said it will be left to the computer to schedule and etls, sd, etc wony be fixing it to fit like before. Which explains the obsessive chasing of etls and hr to get peoples availability updated...
So I stayed an hour late tonight in part to make up for mistakenly coming in an hour late for my previous shift. Everything went fine until a guest needed a receipt reprinted at SCO. I tried to reprint said receipt, but got an error saying "Failed to print; Unauthorized". Is it because I stayed...
Anyone else’s hours being severely cut? I’m currently the store ambassador for our remodel. My schedule had me initially at 33-35 hours a week. But in the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed that my hours have been cut in half, averaging only about 15-16 hours a week. I’ve tried bringing this up...
I went on the app this morning with no issues. I just tried going on the site on my laptop and it said my password was wrong. I was still logged in to the app so I logged out of that and tried to log back in an no luck. I went to the trouble logging in link and clicked reset password and went...
Recently there's a law that has been passed in California that requires your employers to set up your scheduling three weeks in advance...
As a result shift leaders can't clock you in earlier than your posted shift and employees cannot work past their post shift.
Over the weekend and Monday, something happened at my store that hasn't happened in months. We had good days at work. There were enough people to do all of the important stuff, the trucks were manageable, and more people were smiling and relaxed. For a change, I was happy and positive the whole...
Y'all, I'm just curious. Every retail place I've worked at, when they cut hours, they cut people from 8 hour shifts to 4 hour shifts, instead of switching from 5 days a week to 3 or 4? Hours are hours, but every day you've gotta show up is more money/time for commuting, etc. Is there any benefit...
Who do you go to if you want to be put back in your original position but keep getting scheduled under another position that you did not agree to move to especially if you were a DBO?
Freezer full of pallets..10 uboats of groceries in back room..happening on a daily basis..market area looks trashed and one for ones backed up..6 trucks a week and can never get caught up..sound familar??
