Hello, I recently completed a HireVue recorded interview for an On-Demand Front of Store Attendant (cart attendant) position at Target. A few hours later, they contacted me and asked me to come in for an in-person interview. They also asked about my availability, whether I’d be willing to work more weekends (which I said yes to), and even told me what position I would likely be working in.
I originally thought the HireVue interview was the only step in the process, so I’m honestly pretty nervous and a little confused. Does being asked to come in for an in-person interview usually mean they’re seriously considering hiring me, or is there still a lot they evaluate during this stage?
My in-person interview is this Wednesday (2 days from posting this), and my biggest concern is whether they’ll ask more “what would you do” questions like they did in the HireVue interview. I did okay on the HireVue because I could think through my answers and redo them if I messed up (I used all 3 retries for every question). I’ve never really had to answer questions like that on the spot before.
For anyone who has gone through the Target hiring process, especially for an On-Demand Front of Store Attendant/cart attendant position, what should I expect during the in-person interview? Will it mostly be questions about who I am, availability, reliability, and getting to know me, or will they ask similar behavioral questions to the HireVue interview? If I get asked those same questions again, I won't be able to answer them. I will freeze up and forget what to say. I practiced IRL with people, and it has happened every single time. I was only successful with HIreVue one, and I was hoping the hard stuff was over
Also, I don’t fully remember where I’m supposed to go when I arrive for the in-person interview. I think they said the front desk/Guest Services area and then ask for the HR manager or a team lead, but I’m not 100% sure. Does anyone know what I should do?
I desperately need help, as this is the only job in my area that can work for me.
Thank you
