Today was my second interview for the service and engagement team lead position. I’ve been reading online that they give you a tour of the store. And I don’t know if this is just because we already spent an hour and 15 minutes in our interview and didn’t have time but I never got one. I feel good about our interview though because we had a good vibe and she kept telling me a lot of internal information that I wouldn’t need to know if I wasn’t qualified or a contender in her eyes. She told me that she has one more interview and that now with the new target hiring system that if I’m hired, I will be back and if I’m not hired, this will be the last time we will see each other for this role. I know this is a bad case of the after interview anxieties But could someone please help me out?

Did you interview with the store director or the service and engagement ETL (executive team lead)?

Getting a tour is not a requirement for an interview. It's more common for in-store meet and greets/ follow up interviews with team members to ensure the job is what they're expecting.

What did you mean about the hiring system? That you would just get an email one way or the other? If they're going to extend an offer to you, they're going to call you.

Some of us were hired on the spot, new store. Older folks with good work and educational credentials. For the most part it was fun but the novelty wore off as the initial new store management changed. We left and had no tolerance for the stupid shit that followed.

For a while the SD did an informal style interview touring the store and looking for the applicants to point things out and what not. It's up to them however to interview how they want to interview and I feel like it's less common now.

I always did my interviews during truck unload overnight so they have a clear vision of the job.
But I’ve never seen any of my peers doing walks with their applicants.
