One of my TLs told me that AE15 info hasn't been released yet. But for all I know, the hierarchy could already have plans in place for implementing whatever changes it'll entail.

It's got to be out there. Leadership at my store is don't the "starting January 1 new changes will be implemented and not everyone well like them" speeches. As well as promising that they will fix everything from the swearing issue, sexual harassment and general piss poor attitude problem I've been fighting for months, but not right away. These things take time....

We just lost our Pricing TL due to him leaving the company. He's the kind of guy who I think was told "your position is being cut" and he just said "no it's not."

I don't think the ptl will be cut, if it is, Target is all kind of whacked out...

Pricing and Plano have been combined in many org charts. I have heard little as far as changes. Some of those are one TL for softlines, and combining bakery/deli in Super-T.

We lost In-Stocks TL and she took over pricing. We as in-Stocks got rolled into the backroom. Sucks we can't afford to lose any more TL positions. The TLs we do have don't really do anything cause they just run around trying to do the basics so anything else? Not happening.

What is AE15?
Achieving Excellence 2015. It's how Target tries to make improvements each year to become an excellent company. They add or cut positions by changing org charts, create catch phrases, introduce new technologies, change overnight flow to dayside flow, etc. Some of it is an actual improvement while most is to cut costs and make the rich richer.

> add positions

lol

Pretty sure we don't have a Pricing TL, and haven't since I've been at my store.

As best as I am aware we have:

1xSBTL
3xHLTL
1xSLTL
1xPresentation TL
1xGSTL
1xCTL
1xBRTL
1xAPTL

And...that's it.

That's what they show up as on the daily grid anyway, some of the HLTL's may have more specialized roles but they all just get scheduled under hardlines.

I've heard that instead of doing the meetings as they have in the past (CEO tells regional vps, who tell groups, who tell dtls and then stls) all regional leaders stl and above will have one meeting.

I'm hearing that we should expect some position combinations (HR/GE and HR/AP being the two biggest) and TL combinations. My STL said he didn't think it would be "too drastic" this year.

I also heard the rumor for lower sales stores they might get rid of all the ETLs and only have a STL. HR for example will turn into a hourly sr. Team lead position.

How in the blue hell would this work? At my store we are down to three ETLs and six TLs (three of those being SRs). There would not be enough bodies to cover LOD shifts, there barely is right now.

I wonder if there's gonna be any layoffs at corp this year. Last year almost 500 were out of a job and 700 positions weren't filled.

what is AE 2015? Keep in mind that I work at the worst Target in America and communication is minimal and logic is non existent.

Jack, you have been at spot long enough know about any AE changes. The worse one was getting rid of the specialists like in shoes, jewelry, market, or mmb.

It's why 2014 was the worst year at Target, ever. And I wouldn't have known anything if it weren't for The Breakroom!

The HR/GE combo is what we had at Best Buy when I was there as an Operations manager. She had under her a Supervisor (GSTL), who had two Seniors (in our store size, like a GSA). One of those Senior positions was Admin, that did the store paperwork and HR stuff, hence why I always say my job was a combo of CO/GSA and HRTM, with some AP reports thrown in. As Admin I worked a set schedule 7-2:30 with Wednesday and Saturday off. I did the cash office type of stuff first, then the paperwork part and "supervised" the customer service area until the next person came in at 10. My Ops manager didn't have an office, she was on the floor unless she was doing payroll or schedules.

There is redundancy at Spot in some of these areas it seems to me, depending on the size of the store. I would see no reason they couldn't combine them. The issue becomes the personality and drive of the ETL. Our GE one was very hands off the front lanes. The GSTL is running everything - and some things could use some input from another body. It's become a power trip, and while she is responding to the ETL/STL, them being so out of touch with the realities up there is why they have offered 8 people the GSA position and all have said no.

Our AP team worked under our Invemtory Manager, which made sense also.

In the fantasy world the cuts, if any, will make sense to streamline things. But that is fantasy and reality will probably be different.

My store lost 3 ETLs and 5 TLs to AE14. There's not much more we could cut and combine.

if this happens I demand that my store gets rid of our ETL-HR and lets ETL-AP keep it.

Or gets rid of ETL-HR and lets ETL-GE keep it.
