Pretty sure we don't have a Pricing TL, and haven't since I've been at my store.

As best as I am aware we have:

1xSBTL
3xHLTL
1xSLTL
1xPresentation TL
1xGSTL
1xCTL
1xBRTL
1xAPTL

And...that's it.

That's what they show up as on the daily grid anyway, some of the HLTL's may have more specialized roles but they all just get scheduled under hardlines.
The ptl is now most likely the pptl. Price and presentation team lead. In charge of both teams. I've been with the company for 28 years I've been the pptl. Then the ptl now back to the pptl.

It's strange that AE2015 isn't out yet. We always knew about the changes before going into 4th quarter.

I am in a ULV store. We have a stl ( I will hold my comments on that one) 1 saledfloor etl, 1log etl, 1 srtl front end, 1srtl sales floor, 1 srtl flow/backroom, etl/hr. We have the following Tls Starbucks/Fa ( one tl for both) One tl for sl/hl with one of the srtls helping out . One pog tl who is also over pricing . One pharmacy tl. We are down several etls and several team lead positions..of course that has been over the last couple of years

The next cut for a store like that is the power.

Ironically , enough here lately I think they are trying to do just that ! The power blinks on and off or either goes out for a few min ( generator kicks on) at least twice a week.

Do multilevel stores actually have extra ETLs? How exactly is that set up? Quite a few Targets in my area are 2 levels.

I've never been in a multi-level store, but my understanding is that each floor must have an LOD.

We had what was called a Multi-level ETL who could be assigned to any job based on the needs of the store. We have 1 ETL Log, 1 ETL Replenishment, 1 ETL GE, 1 ETL AP, 1 ETL HR, 2 ETL HL, and 2 ETL SL. Others in area also had a Sr. ETL Merchant and ETL Ops.

False, 1 LOD for entire store at all times. A lot of walking. We never had 2 LODs at one time but other ETLs were present just not LOD responsible.

Oh I see. I wonder how much wasted time there are in multi-level stores (adding up to a company total) compared to one level; considering escalators and elevators. Plus maintenance on those things; I know one store in my area always has someone working on an escalator. Another store has a broken elevator.

It was hell when the freight elevator was down, especially having 9 backroom areas. One store in our area has an entire floor that is a backroom.

Our escalators were down at least once a month.

I have a feeling Viper is going to be going live in most if not all stores...

All Sales Floor TMs at my store are being trained to set salesplanners, pull batches, backstock, etc...

I don't trust our Salesfloor TMs with a PDA, most definately not to set something and pull it and then backstock it all correctly. They are just... ugh!

What is AE15?
Achieving Excellence 2015. It's how Target tries to make improvements each year to become an excellent company. They add or cut positions by changing org charts, create catch phrases, introduce new technologies, change overnight flow to dayside flow, etc. Some of it is an actual improvement while most is to cut costs and make the rich richer.
Jack, you have been at spot long enough know about any AE changes. The worse one was getting rid of the specialists like in shoes, jewelry, market, or mmb.

They didn't get rid of the specialists. They simply took away their title and their extra pay and labeled them "brand team members" instead ... expecting the same amount of work and in most cases more. ;) But I do agree... it was a baaaaad idea. Hard to believe that at one time we had a TL over every department in the store and zoners to put things back to perfection every night instead of doing this whacky speed zone that ends up half-assed most days....

Some specialists were let go or quit, when they were told about pay cut & changes.

They need to go back to that shit! This ain't a fucking gas station, it's a department store!!!!

Man at Macy's...they have a special team that comes in every morning to make sure everything is sized and looking beautiful. And yet their employee's actually make a dollar less then what most Target employee's start off at......smh.

Former specialist here.
We were hauled in, told our position was being 'eliminated', that we had the option to stay in another capacity or accept a severance package (peanuts). We could continue to work in our area but the paygrade was gone, hrs were no longer guaranteed, holiday pay, etc, we were basically busted back down to level 1.
A little later, they renamed them 'specialized' but it's still an empty title.

Cash office.
I trained a good number in our area & did fill-ins for 6-7 stores in our district.
I helped with set-up when a new sister store opened near-by.
Several ETLs who left our store would call me when they had CO problems with their new stores.
I've done manual counts at my store & others when systems went completely down using paper, pen & a calculator.
I helped other stores trouble-shoot over the phone & learned about currency from a banker friend & a visitor from the Secret Service.
I was a specialist in every sense of the word.
And damn proud of it.

And I miss it dearly :(
