I'm Lost! Calling out in first 90 days

Hey so I’m still in my first 90 days and I had to call out of work because I was stuck at a doctors appointment that took a lot longer than it should’ve. It was about an hour or an hour an a half before my shift and I was still at the doctors waiting on paperwork so I decided I would call my store and let them know I was going to be late. They told me since I was only scheduled for 3 hours today that I should just call out, she also told me since I’m in my 90 days that it’ll hurt me. I wanted to know what exactly will happen, am I going to be let go because of this ? I’m going to be taking a doctors note when I go in tomorrow, will that make anything better? I’m just scared of them not keeping me lol I was brought on as a seasonal cashier. Has anyone else called out during their 90 days ?

If we got rid of people for one call off in their first 90 days half of the seasonals at my store would be gone already. You’ll be fine
